My Life in their Hands
It’s important to know.
It’s important to know that student safety and well-being are at the forefront of our practice. We don’t just accept a referral from a school or agency, we expect a good relationship where we can call someone direct if needed. We need to be assured that we are all working together.
Quality Assurance
Be confident in referring to My Life Project and without hesitation we will provide you with all our up to date policies & procedures, comfort letter and any additional information you request. Where relevant our policies are written and updated in association with the Sheffield Safeguarding Partnership. Where necessary, some are reviewed by our HR advisor to ensure we are operating legally and within specified guidelines.
We welcome QA visits from anyone looking to work with us or to update your records. Please click here to request our information.
Liaison
It’s our duty to liaise with the relevant agencies alongside schools/academies where applicable to ensure we are part of a multi agency approach. Our senior team have many years of working with key services: SEND, Social Care, MST, CYT, Attendance & Inclusion, Virtual Schools and more. We attend meetings if requested and communicate regularly with agencies affiliated to our students – parent/carers included.
Reporting
Safeguarding: where necessary we will report direct to the Hub.
Safeguarding concerns/observations: we will call the school DSL/DDSL or service Safeguarding lead and report verbally. This will be followed by a written report – Parent/Carer will be informed where appropriate.
Incidents: we will call the school DSL/DDSL or service Safeguarding lead and report verbally. This will be followed by a written report – Parent/Carer will be informed where appropriate.
Progression reports: as standard we provide reports on all our learners each half term which covers attendance, engagement, targets etc. We provide interim updates on request and support EHCP’s, Myplan and Clinical assessment reviews.
Attendance: student attendance is reported daily by a designated staff member who will also contact parent/carer in the case of any absences.

My Life Project are very keen for school and/or agency staff to visit our students on project. We feel it’s important students see how we work together.
